In addition to commisioned research projects, we also conduct on-going research across a variety of topics that may impact Technology, Mobile and Retail industries for emerging markets like India.
1. Mobile usage for ‘business needs’ among ‘Bottom of the Pyramid’ users in India. This study is aimed at identifying the usage & unmet needs of mobile phone users in the BoP segment, who use the mobile primarily to generate their livelihood. We intend to identify the unmet needs & potential opportunities for mobile products/services for these users.
2. Entertainment for today‘s urban youth. This study aims at understanding the socio-cultural impact of the fast-paced economic growth on how the youth (16-25 years old) in Tier 1 and Tier 2 cities in India, relate with ‘Entertainment’. What do they consider ‘interesting’, ‘cool’, ‘aspirational’? Where & how do they like to get entertained? What forms of entertainment are they spending on, and why/where/how are they doing so? |
